Dolly Rockers + Mpho + Snap, Crackle & Pop at Westfield London Shimmer 09

When:
19:00 Thu Jul 23

Where:
Westfield London, Westfield Shopping Centre, Ariel Way W12 7GF

The first Time Out session, on July 23, sees two of London’s most vibrant young acts - Dolly Rockers and Mpho, with guest DJ duties performed by Snap, Crackle & Pop.

With big hair, Bratz-style make-up and frilly skirts, Dolly Rockers are a YouTube phenomenon. Their funky first single, ‘Gold Digger’, is a collision of Kid Creole and Tom Tom Club, with a 20-year-old girl about town's post-Britpop, mid-recession, pre-adulthood world view.

‘Box N Locks’ is the new single from South African-born Brixtonian Mpho. It’s an anti-hymn to south London which pouts and purrs with ‘Echo Beach’ as its backdrop. But go along to this show and you’ll discover that Mpho is as ‘urban’ as she is ‘pop’. Pin a label on her at your peril.

Med Damon is the fizzing cluster of techno-bass-electro wonkiness behind the Blazin’ Squad of fidget house, Snap, Crackle & Pop, the late-night dancefloor agitators who’ll make you chase their raves all over Shoreditch.

And if you don’t manage to get one of our ringside tickets, don’t worry - all events can be enjoyed from the balconies around the central atrium at Westfield.
N.B. Each ticket admits 2 people.
