Hoodless Brennan move to TD Waterhouse

Hi I have been with Hoodless Brennan for about 5 months execution only.
I am not sure whether to agree to the move to TD waterhouse. I am concerned by :

Account management:
TD Waterhouse does not charge an account management fee as long as you trade at least once in the quarter, or have total assets in your account of £5,000. A fee of £10+vat per quarter is charged on accounts which do not meet these criteria.
We will be waiving this fee for the quarter in which you transfer to TD Waterhouse.:mad:

I am not a frequent trader and tend to buy watch it rise and then pull out investment plus bonus and leave a few to grow.....
Has anyone come up with a better alternative????????????:rolleyes:

Thanks G_M for the reply and link. Sorry i looked and did not see that thread. Having looked at the thread i saw your brillant breakdown of all the providers which has really helped me to make a quick decision .

anyone finding it is taking absolutely ages to transfer their stock to another provider?

I applied to move to iii 3 weeks ago it still hasnt come through

Nightmare process! ShareCrazy have given a 'deadline' for free Transfers out but:
I recently opened a iii a/c. Had to wait for a Temp password by post to complete account set up. Then you have to print off/post back a Transfer form (listing all your holdings! Why can't you just Transfer your account en bloc?!).
Then iii have to post it to your original Provider (Sharecrazy) who check (and doubtless find an error) before transferring.........

A week? I don't think so! And this is meant to be an on-line account!
