I'm sure I could find some horrid client !
A joke of course :-)0 -
How can you exchange and complete on the same day if it takes 6 days for funds to come from the mortgage co.?0
-
Although most mortgage companies request 5 working days notice, you can often get them quicker - I have been able to get funds the same day, chasing like mad from first thing in the morning.
You can request the money before exchange if the solicitor is happy with the legal title. The would need to be aware that if the solicitor receives the funds and completion is delayed they may well have to send the funds back - this will incur TT fees and depending on the mortgage company sometimes some days interest.0 -
I think that this thread is great but am concerned (as many have commented) that it is shortly going to become very long and difficult to follow. I have therefore closed it.
If people want to ask questions from the board's newest "Friendly Solicitor" then please feel free to start a new thread for each question, with a subject title that reflects the question you are asking i.e. not "Question for Friendly Solicitor".
Each thread can then relate to the question being asked, making it easier for readers to find what they are looking for.
Finally, many thanks to Friendly Solicitor for his valuable contributions to the board!
