Cottage in Scotland with hot tub

Been searching the internet, but can seem to get very far!
Looking for a cottage or lodge or anything similar over the new year period sleeping 4 adults (2 couples) that hopefully has a hot tub or sauna or the like.
pretty easy on where it is, anywhere in scotland will do really, just looking for a peaceful new year break away.
If anyone could help, would be amazing, drawing a blank so far.
Budget is flexible, preferably around or under the £400 mark tho! but could maybe strech to up to £600 if it was perfect.
Thanks
Lindsey

  • Haven't stayed there but have only heard good reports of Lochwood Farm Steading in Ayrshire.
Have a look at the website, lovely accomodation and two hot tubs.

thanks, looks lovely, but not really suitable, as the cabin and suite with hot tubs only sleep 2.

edit: called to check about booking them both, but fully booked anyway!

You could try http://www.aboutbritain.com/self-catering-holiday-cottages/property4879.asp - it seems some with hot tubs are not available over that period

Try searching through Hoseasons. Once you search lodges in Scotland you can then specify only ones with hot tubs. You often get good deals on there too although not sure you will at that time of year.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ~ WOO HOO what a ride!

Unfortunately your budget will probably not run to a cottage with a hot tub for that week. The new year week is often the most expensive week of the whole year to hire a cottage in Scotland. It's also an extremely popular week with the Scots and tends to get booked up early.

The forestry commision have some lovely looking lodges with hot tubs
which are very affordable in Nov and early Dec at £324 for the week, unfortunately they then go up to £1100 for a six day break over new year.

If you do fancy going at a different time of year the website is
forestholidays.co.uk (add www to make the address work)

Hi, we are going here soon it's £125 a night over Hogmany period, so would be in budget if it's not for a full week, or as it's 3 bedrooms do you know another couple who might fancy it, If you are interested I can give you feedback after our break. As others have said though it is a premium time up here, some places can charge whatever they want.

Glen Clova Hotel have two adjoining lodges which sleep loads of people. Each is fully equipped with kitchen, tv, sauna, ensuites and there are two hot tubs. It was a hen weekend I was on so both lodges were booked by our party. 2 double rooms in each lodge plus sofa bed and z beds. You could sleep loads in there. Its beautiful up there, no mobile reception!!! They are pretty new lodges so its all pretty spotless. You can self cater but they do bar meals and you could probably order breakfast to have in the hotel if you were feeling lazy. I think prices vary depending on the time of year. Its a few miles from Kirriemuir in Angus. You could also book rooms for the hotel if thats too expensive or the bunkhouse which is basic but only 20 quid a night I think. The area is very popular with walkers.

You are going to be paying through the nose for booking at New Year I would have thought.
