Reclaiming charges from Natwest

Hi,

I am looking to reclaim bank charges from Natwest dating back to July 2001. As a result of these charges I was given a cash card only and forced to enter into a consolidation loan. This occured around June 2002.

Can I still reclaim these charges? and will the cash card I was changed to be the same account that had the charges on? Also when sending your letters off do you send them recorded delivery to ensure that the bank receives them?

Any help will be greatfully received.

Cheers
Andrew

You can still reclaim the charges.
the charges came from one account but do you still have the details of it? Do you still have a bank account open?
Recorded delivery bit you are 100% correct as to the rationale.

    Cheers,

The account is still open but has not been used for years and I don't know the number. I will give them a bell later to get this number then prepare my letters.

    Thanks again.

If they can't find it for you then you will be telling them how to find it. Can you clarify that the account was open before October 2002?

Yeah it was open well before then. I've been into branch and it was closed due to going dormant in March 09. I have got the accoutn details of them and will be sending off my letter this weekend.

    Cheers
