Anyone used the ferry to Heysham?

warrenpoint ferry £120 single £180 return car and driver will only take 12 pasengers ferrys at night always book up lorry drivers you can get on during day two sailings in mornings tues to friday boat does not always leave at set time will go before tide goes out you have to ring on morning of sailing you get a big breakfast and bigger dinner all in price it takes 9 hours one boat goes at 7 am approx second boat goes at 10 approx0

I used it once, its a faster journey to the mid mainland than going on Norfolk line but I prefer a cabin to chill in with my son as I have a 3 hour journey when we get there.
Its a bit boring for me to be sitting about when I could be getting a few hours extra shut eye as I don't usually arrive at my destination until 9-10pm depending on when we get off the ferry at Birkenhead.
Swings and roundabouts for me I guess but if you don't have kids and a long journey ahead of you afterwards then I recommend it...0
