I was thinking of putting some more memory in my pc.
I've got 3 slots on my board with only 2 being used.
Theres 2 boards of 256MB atm. I can go to 3072MB.
If I put more in do I have to keep all the boards the same size or can I put a 1MB board in there ?
Am I wasting money doing this ? They say that 512MB is the standard these days. Am I likely to see some improved performance by adding another bit of memory ?

512 mb ram is standard you should not need more for normal us unless your graphic card is shared and run a lot of games and do a lot video work and edit a lot pics , if you are looking to make it faster you have to look at the full pc not just the ram and what you us it for e.g there is no point in having lods of ram if you just us the internet or office ,play a few basic games (not the latest),do a few pics ..there or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff0
