Morning all.. Sal I hope you're OK x
Only two more days at work before hols :j Have got through the worst of the work so just some tidying up to do. Got everything ready to pack and gave the garden a good tidy up last night.. cut back some plants and found loooooads of snails on the wall behind them, gave up counting at 20  I also went for a little slow run, really needed to use up some energy, and my achilles was fine while I was running - bit stiff this morning but it's definitely improvingMy other pain of the male variety is still being annoying but seems to have calmed down a bit - trying not to let it get to me too much today.
Have a good day everyone xDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Sorry Random post alert and dieters look away now!
For those visiting on Thursday 16th July, Covent Garden’s Real Food Market will see a massive cupcake arrive in its midst. Measuring 1.25m by 2m, and designed by Culinary Olympic winner Michelle Wibowo, the giant cake is the world’s largest, feeding up to 2000 people.
Our advice? Be prepared. Take a spoon, a doggy bag and an empty stomach.

Just had sudden work-rage, I've been here for 2 and a half years but may as well be f**king invisible as far as some people are concerned because I haven't been here for 20! :mad:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Hi Luc - yes I did enjoy the film thanks.
I can't walk in heels anymore either, which is a shame because I always think that heels finish off an outfit nicely.
RedSquirrell I know how you feel about work - I call myself the invisible team (there is only me in the team!) but when people are bought round to be intorduced, I always seem to be missed out - mainly because I don't think people know what I do, so they just ignore me!!OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

Thank you all for caring about me :A I haven't been on for the last couple of days as I felt that all I would do is moan and drag my black cloud around.
I know its totally down to me to resolve ALL of the issues I have at the moment and all I seem to do is to keep going on about this, that and the other when others have the strength to get on and take actions, I just go around and around in circles and get no-where!
I guess I too need to write a list and start making those baby steps!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
Finally Debt Free...0 -

Exactly the same here - people keep giving/ asking things to one of my colleagues (who is supposedly my superviser but doesn't actually know much about my little area) that should be given/ asked to me - just because she's been here forever. Doesn't help that she doesn't bother putting them right, in fact half the time she tells them the wrong thing then I have to interrupt and I get looked at like "why is the office junior joining in?" - seems to be because I'm the youngest in the office and not been here long people assume I just do the filing or something ... bloody fed up as well because I sent out instructions about something the other day and they are being completely ignored.
Rant over :ADebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Oh sally..... i love you babes, and i hate to see you unhappy..... but please don't slope off...........
you are allowed to mull things over on here and it isn't a case of commit it to the thread and you must take action y'know....
you'll make the changes when the time is right for you, not because everyone else is doing it....
i have been proactive this year in addressing some stuff that had been going round and round in circles in my life for years and and years, if not bloooody decades....
we just want you to get the happiness you deserve but at the end of the day we're only virtual for 99% of the time and you're the one living the life and know what you can and can't reasonably do. We can only advise really .... but ask us and we'll do anything we can on a practical/emotional level cause we care about you.
don't use other folks getting stuff done as a measure of your inaction.... it took people years to get to that point, you're not ready yet maybe?? rest assured when you are, we will be here for you......I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
I totally agree with what Maz has said, Sally you'll deal with stuff when you're ready to. In fact, I've found that trying to deal with stuff before you're ready it just counter productive and can actually make things worse.
I've just been to the doctors, it was a new guy. Apparantly the cold I've had for the last couple of months is probably hayfever, so he's given me something for that. I also told him about OH, and asked him what help's out there. Apparantly it's true that social services don't help, they put you in touch with private contracters that you have to pay yourself. He was more than happy to refer me to an occupational therapist for aids and adaptations though, which is brilliant. I'll hop over to the disability board in a bit for suggestions on what's out there.
Oh, and I spoke to my sister, and she's not on his side like he told me... in fact, she's supporting me in this. So, things looking positive for now.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Ames - what's happened? I've missed something? sis supporting you in what?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0

Basically in getting rid of my OH/carer. I kind of overtook the daily chat last night talking about it. He's not very supportive, and in fact tries to stop me having control and making decisions in my life. So I've told him not to come back from Italy at the weekend, I don't want him living here anymore. He's been away for a month and I've been getting along fine without him.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
