Sent Items Going Missing/Careless post office

This may not have anything to do with ebay but thought it may account for some post that goes astray.
The post van called at my house today with a bundle of about 10 small packets and jiffy bags bundled together. I was expecting some post but not that much. Took them in the top package was addressed to me but all the others were for another person not even on my street. I was able to catch the van as he turned round to leave my street and give them back.
It would have been a lot of missing items for the other person with no way of tracking them if i hadn't.

I think this is an inherent problem in some areas and caused by the workload that some Post men (sorry that isn't PC I know!) have. I know my postman very well but I still get letters and packages at least twice a week addressed to someone else. Maybe it is the fault of the town planners who built my estate in the 1920s as we have three roads about 2 minutes from each other all with very similar names and you soon get to know the people in the other two houses with the same number as we are always swapping items.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
