Selling and posting T-shirts on eBay

Hi, I'm going to be selling about 20 t-shirts on ebay over the next week - I just want to know how much it costs to send a t-shirt to the UK, to the EU, and the wider world. I also want to send them in the cheapest packing possible - could someone tell me what size postsafe/postage bag I need to use? Thanks!

depends if they are kids t shirts or adults t shirts

some can go as a large letter if they are small/thin enough

you will need to weigh them though
  • I have sold many T-shirts on ebay and as long as you package them right then they can go as a large letter
  • I can get anything under XXXL posted as a large letter.

Recorded 1st class is around £1.70 and standard 1st class around 90p.

    As per post 5 :
Smart But Casual said I can get anything under XXXL posted as a large letter.

So a large letter, if you can get the dimensions to work will be approx 90p. (that is weight up to 249g). Obviously if your T shirts are heavier, or they can't be packed to go as a large letter then it will be more.

Large letter refers to the dimensions not the wrapping. pack a T shirt and weigh it and then take it to the PO and try the slot thingy to see if it is a packet or a large letter. Once you've done that you'll know how to price your items.

The letter in large letter refers to the postage cost/method e.g. large letter, letter or packet. You can have something in a postage bag that can go as a large letter.

As for postage bags. Shop around.

Have you not sold your T shirts since last July?

Yes but I'm not asking about postage price now. I'm asking about the price of envelopes vs polythene mailing bags. Which is cheaper?

I didn't sell them last July. I sold a bunch of leather jackets instead.

Many of us buy our stationery on ebay, so spend half an hour checking out the sizes you need and compare the prices of mailing bags and sacks. I buy both, prices vary al the time so best do yourself a proper price comparison.
