ebay or amazon ?

hi
im trying to source some non-branded iphones from china, and want to sell them in the uk, ive heard and read a lot about ebays high fees, i think its currently 9.9% FVF and then theres the 3.4% paypal charge you on your income, and was wondering if it would be cheaper to sell on amazon

i normally sell o nebay, and atlhough i have a seller account on amazon i havent sold anything for years

any advise and guidnace would be appreciated
its only a bargain, if you need it or will use it.

I think amazon is pretty high too really, 18% if I'm not wrong.

so it's a case of £18 versus ebay's 10% FVF, listing fees, payapl standard charge and their 3.4% cut so altogether I find there isn't a great deal of difference though the value of the item may alter this if it was a very high value thing.

Fake iphones would get pulled on ebay and I doubt there is a catalogue entry on amazon. Your best bet is down the pub!

By 'non branded' iphones do you mean look a likes? (sorry I don't know much about these phones at all). If so then Steviebabes is correct, you can't legally sell these anywhere in the UK and even down the pub be careful you don't get stung by undercover PCs or trading standards as you will be cautioned and possibly fined.

It is illegal to buy and sell fake goods in the UK you also run real risks of losing the lot at customs anyway.

but if i stae clearly that they are not apple iphones, but chinese branded phones, i admit they look similar and have similar features

i thought ebay would only ban it if i was trying to pass them off as apple,

    is it worth it?

    No it's not!
How many negs can your account stand from people disappointed with what they bought?
Can you be sure these knockoffs don't display any reference to Apple?

A fake is a fake, if you admit they are fakes you get prosecuted for that, if you try and pass them off as real you get stuffed for that as well.

You cannot believe how much spam is cleared from this board every morning from Far East companies selling fakes, they have to spam every site they can just to get one victim willing to part with any money at all.

I inspected these in Thailand earlier this year, they even have the apple logo on the software when you switch it on. There are loads over there, some good copies some very poor. They also had ipods that looked identical to the current apple product but different sized screen and the headphone socket was in a different place. Ebay/Amazon are definite no no's
