As the thread title suggests RBS branches will have a 5% regular saver available soon. Maximum monthly deposit £250 though amounts can be varied. Another RBS account will be required though it can be funded from elsewhere.

I would say that it is commercially sensitive information that could be used by a competitor to the detriment of RBS.

A fairly severe discipliniary sanction would not be inappropriate.

I'll make a diary note though - my Halifax one has just matured and I'm pondering my next move!

Our customers are already being told about it so I would suggest not.
  • Does this include NatWest and are they updating their other saving products (e-savings and isa)?

    What chambta said...;)

I wouldn't say updating their existing products - probably bringing out something completely new, and along the lines of the RBS regular saver.
Anything that I do say, is strictly my opinion :p

Liking the sound of the RBS Regular Saver at 5%. I think I might go for it- RBS and faster payments mean it is easy to pull in money and I have a current account there. Is it monthly or annual interest or is that not yet known at this stage?

Need to pull my 4% BOS account as I opened it last month. I have less than £200 at 4% so I'll go to the bank next week, close it and re-open a new 5% one. :T
