Car Parking Ticket Complaint

Options
Hope this is in the right section, if its isnt feel free to move it or redirect me to where it should be.

A few weeks ago my girlfriend parked her car in Glasgow City Centre at 4.15pm, there is free parking after 6pm. She paid for her car to be parked till 6pm but on return to the vehicle she noticed that the machine had printed out 4.15 on her ticket and not 6.00.

No harm done she thought. Until she recieved something through the post today asking for £90 as she parked illegaly and ignored the first notice. There was no notice stuck to the vehicle or in the post and this is the first she has heard.

Basically looking for advice on how to tackle this as (a) She paid for her ticket and (b) Did not receive a parking ticket on her car when the 'offence' took place.

Cheers

Was it a council or private car park.

Does the parking ticket show the time purchased, fee paid etc?

i think she has discarded the ticket, no reason to keep it at the time as she didnt know anything was up!

Write and ask for evidence of the parking contravention.

Hopefully, the photo will provide sufficient evidence that a ticket was purchased.

There's a dedicated Parking Ticket forum on the Motoring thread and that's where the experts are. I suggest you PM a boardguide and ask for this to be moved; the Motoring BG is Crabman.
