hi looking for hotels 2 nights in amsterdam 13 &14th may then 3 nights barcelona 15th to 17th may for four people don't really mind what the hotels are like any help much appriciated x

For Amsterdam I suggest both The Avenue and The Luxor hotels. The former provides a great choice for breakfast, the latter gives a lesser choice but good quality. Both are just minutes from the station. The Luxer borders the red light area. Not a problem for me, but if you're sensitive to tese things, it may be for you. I stayed in The Avenue once or twice and have stayed at The Luxer four or five times, the last visit was a month ago. Generally, rooms in Amsterdam tend to err on the small side.
