help needed with financial hardship case

i put in my request for my bank charges to be paid back a long long time ago, however recently i have just put in the letter( template used from mse) as i am in serious financial hardship.(enclosing copies of letters from bailiffs etc)
hsbc, have sent a letter back saying they are sorry im in this state and could i fill in the form stating my income & expenditure.
the problem is they say to ring them to confirm all the details, however the number is just for their customers, which i am not any more, when i go through its to someone in india who has no idea of what im on about, where do i go from, i really need the money, to pay for bancruptcy!!!

Do you not bank with HSBC anymore?
Are you going through your present current account provider?

idont bank with anyone anymore, altho i do have a savings account with hsbc, ewith about 14p in it.
.......but i still owe hsbc for a bank loan i took out in 2004.

They don't really have to deal with your claim for financial hardship since there are no charges causing the financial hardship today. When was the account closed(cos that initial thought may change)?

EDIT: was there PPI with that loan? Are there any credit cards with charges that can be reclaimed? Mortgage PPI?

hi thanks, the start of all my debt was with this bank account and its charges....

But the current account is closed so it specifically is not causing the hardship today UNLESS of course you still owe them an amount on the account. If you paid them off and closed the account then I kinda agree with them.
