Hi all,
currently doing up the spare room and looking to get a single bed with a trundle underneath to make it into a double bed if needed.
Found this in Tesco direct but it is on the pricey side of what I was thinking but I love the day bed idea so it can be used as a sofa almost for me to escape to when we don't have guests

Anyone got any other suggestions?
Thanks all

Hi, Ikea have a few, the Hemnes one I have seen myself in the store and it looks really nice (you buy the mattress separately so it could still be quite pricey!!), it converts to a double and also has drawers underneath for storage. There a couple of others on their site too but not sure if they all convert to a double:

just looking on the IKEA website and the mattress would add a lot to it! Think I prefer the daintiness of the Tesco one stillI miss using my infinite coupons at Tesco!

Hi Heatherbelle
We have purchased the ikea hemnes bed that has been mentioned.
It is quite sturdy .it converts to a double bed by pulling out the drawers.
then you pull out the front section which then pulls out the slatted base
(I bet youre none the wiser !! ha ha )
anyway we have two single mattresses on it when it is a single bed and they only cost about £50 each
It didnt take oh too long to make up ,and as I said before it is really sturdy and looks good too

Thanks Jazz - that helps a lot.
I should actually be asking does anyone have the tesco direct bed and is it good quality?
So the Ikea bed is £215 or £259 plus £100 in matresses.I miss using my infinite coupons at Tesco!

Hi Heatherbelle,
yep thats £215 plus £100 for mattresses total £315
I researched for a long time for beds and thought they were great value
we actually bought two ,one for each teenage child.
however I was lucky to buy them when they had that sale a year or so ago, when there was about 25% off everything on one day .
regards Jazz0
