Nope, not the wrong forum - this is a point relating to my cards.

Last June, a 'current account' search was performed on my Experian record - it was for an Alliance and Leicester account that I was applying for but didnt actually open. Its main selling point was an overdraft, though this is not recorded on the search.

Is this looked at by lenders when making a decision for credit cards? The reason I ask is that I shall wait for it to drop off if so. But if not, I am apply for another card for stoozing purposes in May. I am sure that it doesnt affect me, but then two weeks later I applied for a credit card and was rejected for the first time ever, which makes me think it has an effect.
