I know someone getting married at The Botanical Gardens and I know that it is very expensive! Hope that helps.0

I can remember going to a dinner dance at the botanical gardens and although the venue is nice the food wasnt and I know they haven't changed their caterers for years.
Pickle - what is your budget and what is the size of the wedding party? If you let me know I can have a look for you (can't do it tomorrow though as I am in hospital having an op) but I can do it today.0 -
Well im looking at around 80 for the day and 100 plus for the evening. I liked the look of the botanical gardens and their venue hire prices werent extortionate like some others can be!
Thanks Horace, thats really nice of you to offer. I've only just started looking so dont worry too much, i have plenty of time to search the web! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
There is another place that springs to mind and you get exclusive use of the venue and that is Austin Court (behind the ICC) it is a conference centre but you can get married there too, it has lovely courtyard gardens and their food is fab (I once had an entire buffet to myself due to people not turning up for a viewing event). I don't think it is too pricey either.
I will see if I can find some information out about wedding breakfasts at the botanical gardens. - Look under Redcliffe catering (you can get the link from the botanical gardens website) and look under conferences you will find some sample menus there for dinners - price per head excluding VAT, that will give you some idea of what they charge.
Another venue is the University of Birmingam - Horton Grange0
