as the title says really...
I'm venue hunting and trying to find something to suit my (not very large) budget
I havent visited either as its a little far to go at the minute (i live in manchester but im from birmingham originally)
Really i want to know what sort of price range to expect, whether u can provide your own wine etc, what the facilities are like, that sort of thing
And also if you know of any hotels nearby ettington chase as im aware that all my guests would have a long way to travel to get there!
thanks!

Don't really know it, but I googled it for you.

It's one of the places I considered (Botanical Gardens) but haven't looked into it as it's low on my priority list. I was there for a ball some years ago and they have the perfect room for the reception but don't know about prices, sorry.0

can't see you being allowed to supply your own wine... although I'm sure Auntie Betty will slip a bottle of gin in her handbagAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

I've updated my post ( oprevious post was the caterers own website- now showing more info on BG own site) - some prices included
Been a while sibnce I've been there-
although one year we purchased an annual membership, as great to visit gardens on a Summer Sunday afternoon.Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
If they are full, then same caterers at http://www.centennialcentre.com/
but not as nice location .
That said I got married in the old B'ham Registy office, with reception in a back street pub.. and did not do us any harm.Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

Picklepick - if you have a small number of people you can get married at St Nicolas Place in Kings Norton (these are wonderful tudor buildings that won that tv programme restoration back in 2004). https://www.saintnicolasplace.co.uk
The place is gorgeous - and they have different rooms where you can marry - you can even marry at the Old Grammar School (upstairs is not suitable for wheelchair users as it is only accessible by some stone steps) - the school seats 40. Also St Nicolas Place doesnt have a booze license so you can take your own and they can serve them to you - classic crockery, glasses and white linen are provided within their catering packages.0 -
thanks horace, unfortunately i have a very extended family and between us we have a ridiculous amount of friends to invite. I've seen that website and it does look lovely but i discounted it as its just too small. Thanks thoughWhat matters most is how well you walk through the fire0
