Can I run windows mobile application on windows xp?

Hi I wanted to know if I run windows mobile application on windows xp? Is there any software out there that can emulate the windows mobile application so they can run/complie on windows xp?

Microsoft do provide device emulators. These are aimed at developers wanting to test on mobile devices without having to own each one. I don't know whether they're free or not but a search on the MS web site might be a good place to start.

You can get Microsoft Embedded Visual C++, I think it's free if you have visual studio (and possibly free if you don't - don't quote me on that though)

Can't remember where I got mine from (version 3) - most likely a magazine cover disk as it pre-dates my broadband connection and is a large download (current version is anyway). If you start by googling "microsoft embedded visual vb" (without the quotes), the Microsoft download site should be the first entry.
