Private land (Airport) parking ticket

First time poster and wondering if someone could offer some advice.
Went on holiday for a week from a UK airport last tuesday and we had pre-booked & paid for some 'premium' parking at the airport as part of the holiday. After driving round the main carpark looking for this parking area in torrential rain, (the time taken was within the 'free' 15 minute period, I parked up on the road covering a couple of occupied disabled parking spaces and ran into the airport to the tour operator desk to find where I need to be. Someone remained in the car in case we needed to move it whilst I was gone. When I came back which was between 1 & 2 minutes later, a parking attendant asked me not to leave as he was writing a ticket for parking illegally. Most of the copy he gave me is illegeable, there is the date, reg no. and a violation code on it, no time. no attendants name, no SIA or company details except a mobile no. for credit card payment and an address for appeals. They require full payment with any appeal, which is now £70, instead of £50 as it is over 7 days later. The code they have stated says I was parked in a disabled space not displaying a valid permit, which is not correct. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Ignore. You have paid so are not depriving them of a fee and also you are not trespassing. Any lines painted on private land are just graffiti and have no legal standing. Expect ever increasing value begging letters including scary ones with coloured printed. Don't pay and expect to get your money back, you won't.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Yup - See the above. File & ignore.
  • Will ignore and await the impending 'fan mail', thanks for the advice & re-assurances.
