Credit card vs Loan HELP

Hiya I am new to this forum and need a little advice?
I am moving out of my parents house in a couple weeks with my 2year old daughter and need and extra £1000 for furniture and bills etc. I dont have a great credit history thanks to store cards (which I have used all my savings to pay off).

So bascilly should I get a credit card and try and improve my credit rating or a loan? The interest is going to be very high with a credit card though isnt it due to my history?
So confused so please help me!

Abie x

If your history is so bad the interest on the loan won't be much better.
Also loans for small amounts usually are with high % anyway.

Are you sure your credit rating is that bad? If not you could apply for 0% purchases credit card and buy the furniture on that.

If yes I suggest you ask your parents first to lend you for the furniture. Borrowing from cards/loans should be the last resort in this situation as the interest is likely to be very very high.
