If you do that to the windows you'll need a camera facing forwards as well!
    Can I help?

we had four-sensor reverse parking sensors fitted from Halfords last year for my wife's Civic. They resprayed the sensors to the same colour of the car, and did a really good job of it. The sensors beep, and they fitted a display that you can see in the rear-view mirror that showed distance in metres, and a bar display. For about £130 (if I remember correctly) all in, fantastic! I had had a good look around I couldn't find anything similar with the same functionality for that price. The best bit? if anything had gone wrong in the warranty period I could go straight back to Halfords to sort out.

saying that she still managed to reverse into the garage. lets just say that the sensors weren't to blame!

There's no point in darkening your windows now because you're not allowed to do the front door windows so it just makes your car look like a van.

Have a look in your yellow pages or yell.com I would suggest that you find a good auto electrician and get them to do the job, remember cheap is not always best.

Regarding your window tinting check the law about this before you do it, there is a law that states 70% of light needs to be able to pass through the glass, totally black will break this rule, you really need to check this out as I am pretty sure it also covers the back windows now

The tinting limit is definitely lower on front windows, you see a lot of new 4wd and "sporty" vehicles going around with the van look.

Well i am thinking of getting a 4x4 & the manuf. is charging £300 for tinting the windows, was thinking if i could go it cheaper why not!, maybe the sensor thing sounds like a good option, but in the camera option is also gives you the width of your vehicle which would really help!

Window tinting is not an easy job if the manufacturer is going to do it that is not a bad price, I cannot see why you need a parking camera use your mirrors it's far cheaper.

Also it's important if you are going to get someone to fit the sensors you get the right ones, having tow bars effect the sensors and the angle on the bumpers also make a difference, find yourself a really good auto electrician and they would be able to sort these things for you, sadly it's not as simple as it sounds, with the right help you will be ok
