Please take time to check out this site, it is about a friend of mine's son, who has given up his job and time to cycle 10,000 miles around Europe to try and raise at least £1 per mile, for Cancer Uk. The site has a diary of his day by day journey (well worth a read), plus many other things as well a page for donations.
Having been diagnosed myself only 2 years ago at the age of 44, I now hopefully look forward to a long and happy life helped by such worthwhile charities and the wonderful people who give their time and effort in raising money.
The frightening thing about cancer is until you have it you are not aware of just how many people every day are being given the terrible news that they have this disease, but now with so many wonderful people endlessly fundraising the prognosis is not always life threatening.
