Unsecured Loan with PPI - can I claim?

Hi There,

I have an unsecured loan with PPI which I am currently paying off, the loan is with a company called 'Everyday Loans'. Does anyone know if I would be eligible to claim anything back?

I would appreciate any comments or feedback you may have.

Thank you.

    Hi there and welcome.;)

If you were mis sold the PPI for any reason then yes your entitled to reclaim the PPI back, plus the interest.

Sorry, I've just found this. If you are still around, how did you get on? I have an old loan with them and was told I needed PPI. I got such a bad vibe from them, I'm reluctant to ring them even.

I rang them just now to get my loan number and the manager told me that 97% of cases that get sent to them get knocked back because their paper work is so thorough. What do you reckon? If I put it in shall I send it to their office or to the head office?

That may be the case. Many cases that are upheld are on the basis that post 2005 rules are applied to pre 2005 cases (rightly or wrongly).

This firm only gained FSA authorisation in November 2006 so that particular "trap" will not have caught it.

Why do you think the PPI was missold?

Because I was told that I needed it to guarantee that I would get the loan. Also at the time, I was just at the start of my career in a "safe" job guaranteed for years, as much as it can be.
