i would love to join your fb group, these days im on there more than i am here ;)

    im karen norman (nee cartwright)

I have some silly questions/ponderings, if i understand it all correctly you can only get pregnant once you have ovulated, so if you were to try on CD5 there is no chance of getting pregnant ? correct ? so all these people that fall pregnant accidently have had sex with 2 days of ovulating and if they had done the deed 3 days earlier they would not get pregnant ?

its just something that has puzzled me as to how these people have these accidents when the window for it happening is so small,

    Hi All,

Lots of FB invites now sent - let me know if you don't get them!

OH in hospital for checks today, am waiting a call and getting ready to travel for 350 miles or so. Fun.

BTW Smartie, thank you thank you! I've made you an admin on the FB group also - so if you have no luck with me being offline, try Smartie (sorry Smartie... think you'll regret that, so say when you want to be removed from admin status!)

CBFM this morning dropped down to a high reading, having stayed peak for three days - so that's me out this month already then. So frustrating and I'm shaking and in tears over everything going on today. Really need to pull myself together!!

At least it's easier to chat on FB while away than it is on here, x

Edit: Mishka, have just sent you a FB request also, x

Thanx madmac :D for invite (((hugs))) for feeling down today x

Wil be able to put a face to a name now... goin searchin :)

I have a sore head this morning, couple girls came over last night, including dear friend who lost her baby few weeks back :( unfortunately after sayin she was doin really well, she had a bad day yesterday, photos of her came back from truprint plus she had to pick her head stone for her grave...
so lots of tears, we let off one of those massive candle lanterns at midnight and watched it disappear off over the sea, it was very emotional but lovely all the same x

Hi Ladies, sorry to butt in. Can anyone recommend a BBT Thermometer? Is that better than ovulation testing strips? Any recommendations for getting them would be great, and is eBay still the best place for cheap pregnancy tests?

I got my BBT one from an Amazon seller very cheap, but lots of others got them from eBay - the advice was to get one to 2 decimal places and I went for a F one, rather than C.

    Hope you're doing well! xx

I'm back from my shopping trip...loads of stuff bought in for my party tomorrow and I still have loads of work to do today. But I decided to buy myself something to drink for today too:D and Im just going to enjoy my weekend.
Day 3 on the clomid, and aside from a bit of a headache and some nausea in the cab on the way home...not too bad.
Madmac I think I missed it, why is your hubby in hospital? I knew he was away but didnt pick up anything about hospital...and also, I love your profile pic...you look so relaxed and comfi.
kmckee999 what a lovely thing to do with your friend. It must have brought some peace to her.
Mishka it all has to do with how the sperm doesnt die for a few days (Becs or madmac) can explain it in detail. So the window (although small) is bigger than we think. My first child (only currently) was "an accident" although I really dont like to call him that. I had only known his dad a few months and withing a few weeks of us starting to nookie together I fell. It was a huge shock (because of my cerebral palsy) and an even bigger blessing. Now Im engaged to the man who has been the man of my dreams since I was a teen and I cant get it right:rolleyes:

ETA:Snugglepants I bought my bottles, corks and a hand corker whilst I was out...the corks still look too big even though they came with the bottles

Oops, sorry Mishka - missed your post completely! Blame addled brain today...

Yes, good, healthy sperm can survive for 5 days in the 'right' environment and we do sometimes OV very early (I was apparently on CD11 this month, very early for me but it can be much earlier!) so that's why 'accidents' can happen. Just not enough in our case!

Thanks Polkadot, I was wrapped up in thermals in my photo and watching the world go by! Sad story behind it and I use it as a reminder to myself that things do get better - but that's another story!
