  • CAFC- what CD are you on? When was your last AF?

As for all you lot chatting about age-gap babies - I *am* one! There's 11 years between me and my sister, 13 to the other sister and 16 years between me and my bro!

I quite agree ;) Are you with the same partner? I didnt plan on such a huge gap, but divorced from her dad years ago. I met my wonderful OH 3 years ago. Unfortunately, he lives 200 miles away :( He has been trying to get a job up here, but no luck. We were going to put off TTC until he was up here on a permanent basis, but time is not on my side, so we are just going for it now. He is up here every weekend anyway, so I guess I'm just like women whose partners work away from home. Have you thought about your childrens' reactions? I think my DD will be horrified...proof that her old mother is still having sex...yuck :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    justmarried - (((hugs))) xx

Like you I am with a new and "improved" partner. :D We have been together for 8 years and he had no children and like you we are taking the plunge as time isn't on my side.
My son isn't very enamoured with the thought of having to "share" me but he has his own life now and would be out with his friends most of the time anyway.
He has said as long as he is still my special boy as he is my first born, he'll cope with a new bawling baby. This was said out of the side of his mouth, barely audible, in a "nobody better hear me" kind of way.
LOL @ special boy.... I used to say that to him when he was little. You wouldn't think at eighteen he would be feeling a little jealous of a possible brother or sister....but even if he is 54...he will always be my special boy.;)

    1more....wooohooooo another BGG member. :D
    Whistle while you work...
  • Just wanted to add, an age gap baby is a lovely thing for everyone, as - despite what you feel like - being an older mum can make it hard to "get" some of the things kids are into (or maybe it was just my mum) But for me, having older sisters and brothers around helped to bridge that gap quite a lot. It can help your kids feel quite involved and help them to form their own bond with the new baby (plus they can help with housework and babysitting - very :money:)
On the downside I then had them telling me off too, which basically felt like I had 4 parents sometimes...

Someone knock some sense into me, please!!!! I have managed to completely convince myself I have a tiny person implanting at this very moment. Boobs so sore, cramps, really bloated. CD18, 5DPO cycle usually 28, I can't stop myself thinking what I'm thinking. Please tell me what else this could be! Moods all over the place too

    Hey hun

    Im CD 49.

My cycles have ranged from 28 - 36 days in the past 6 months....

Its just because i got the +OPK..... i dont know what to think... I dont want to think im pregnant and then discover im not but at the same time i dont want to be taking less care of myself because im not IYSWIM....:o

  • CAFC-you could be oving, it might just be a long cycle because you've been so stressed of late. Check your cervix - if its high and you have fertile cm you may be oving! Why not snuggle with OH and see if you can get a bd in - it might make you feel better for the release of tension if nothing else!

suzy - sorry AF showed up :(

courgette *SLAP* stop SSing! You're only 5DPO my love, implantation at 5DPO is unlikely anyway! The blastocyst has to do whizzy things before it can even contemplate implanting and these things take time (something about some sort of coating IIRC) Anywho - stop it! ;) Sit on your hands and wait like the rest of us... :p

Off to my swimming lesson now, think my teacher was in the Stasi before she took up teaching adult swimmers :( Swimming's no fun anymore..
