Do we have a case?

We got a parrking ticket in Southport on Monday as the ticket had fell of the windscreen.

I'm in the process of appealing and including the ticket.

What are our chances of it being revoked?

TIA

Susie

Was this a Council or a Private ticket?

If it was a Council, and you can show you had purchased a ticket, they may let you off.

If it was a PPC, don't bother appealing, it's all a scam, ignore everything they send you and never contact or pay them.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

send copy of the ticket please, not the original!!!!

if ti is a council, there is every chance it will be cancelled.

if its a council car park there sign will probabaly say "failure to display a ticket", not failure to purchase so I don't think they will let you appeal it. If it is on private land do as bargepole advises and ignore everything they send you.

i had one revoked like this, i just said they must not of seen it. you dont have to say it fell off.
  • UPDATE

We received a letter from Sefton Council who have revoked the parking fine. If we do it again however, we won't get away with it. I might suggest they out stickies on their ticket to fix them to windows.

    Thanks for advice
