20 year old looking to get a credit card

in Credit cards
I am looking at applying to get a credit card. The reason being because I have a phone contract which is in my mum's name, with which I pay her the cash I owe from it every month. But not living near here now this is becoming a slight inconvenience. When I obtain a new phone contract I would need a credit card so I was wondering, why not apply for my own?
I am in employment, have a fixed address and am on the electoral register. I am very good with money and never spend more than I have.
Being a complete novice when it comes to CC's can anyone point me in the right direction on what sort of card to look for? I would probably want one with the lowest credit limit as possible?
Thanks

try your own bank first.0

If I do (Natwest) is there anything I should avoid doing, I don't want them talking me into something I don't want.0

Any ordinary CC will do.
Do set up a Direct debit for the full amount so you never forget to pay and you pay no interest.
Don't agree to PPI. (or insurance of any kind)
Later you may want to try for a reward or cashback card.0 -
Thanks for the info, will bear these in mind!0
