If you wanted the individual scoops you could make up the creamed spinach (or even just plan cooked spinach, just drain it really well) and then use an ice cream scoop to put portions on a tray. Freeze them loose like this then bag them - voila, posh scoops of frozen spinach!0

Hi Can somebody please tell me whether there is a way that you can freeze fresh spinach as I have half a bag left and don't want to throw it away.
Many Thanks,

Yes, you can - I put mine straight in the freezer, no preparation, then cook from frozen. Works fine.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0

Hi,
Simple question really.....I have taken some fresh spinach from the bag for a recipe tonight, but as we are going away on Saturday, how can I avoid throwing the rest out? Common sense says 'freeze it' but what is the best way to do this?
Sorry if it sounds like a silly question!0 -
Just wilt in a pan then freeze as is.Opinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.0
