anyone now about artexing please??

Hiya want t cover 3 ceilings quickly and chealy as possible, they are not awful but have small cracks and areas were chanelled out and only just made good! lol

3 rooms one 11 by 12

the other 2 are 15 by 13 fooot aprox.

Any idea of cost and cheapest patter, i really ned to emlploy someone.

I kmnow artex not that popular but am selling house and it's in a sought after area with large gardens and should sell easily. I just need it smatened up.

Also cracks around ceilings where they join the walls would coving cover them after they have been made good? if so any suggestions what is ok bt fairly cheap? Ta

    Hi,

    Contact a local plasterer, they will do coving as well. You may find it costs the same to skim as to artex.

    Plasterers usually charge a day work rate and will charge for whole days not part days as they feel they can't start another job half way through the day!

    I agree. I can't imagine the cost of artexing being different to a re-skim.

    When we moved into this house, the first thing we did was lose the artex. I'd have the cost of getting rid of it built into my budget like I would if the ceiling were generally tatty cost of that would be the same. You might be better off doing nothing than artexing it.
