I think I will go and buy some this week if there is any left. Even though I haven't got a dishwasher. I mistakingly picked some of the tablets up once thinking they were the tablets for washing clothes. I kept them under the sink for ages and when I ran out of washing up liquid, I put one in my bowl.

I could not believe the power they had. It washed all my pots and removed all the stains out of my cups/mugs etc. Once I realized what was happening, I washed all pans and removed all the stains on the outer parts. I washed all my cupboard doors as well. The water felt so soft to the touch it was unbelievable!!!

I think I will try one on my kitchen floor and walls this week. :j

But as the 5-1 tablets already contain salt and rinse aid then unless you live in a 'very' hard water area you don't need to add extra salt...

I stand corrected. I do live in a very hard water area.
  • Thanks, managed to get two lots of 20+20 - brilliant

Thanks very much for this - went to Sheldon store earlier and managed to get 4 (3 with 100% free and 1 with 50% free). There were quite a few 50% free boxes left. Hubby was with me and couldn't believe the deal!! What did everyone else do about taking off the voucher? There was also a dishwshler tablet included with the money off coupon - I was told that you could only put one voucher through with each transaction, so I said fine to put each rinseaid and disherwasher tablet through individually!

    Thanks again.:j
  • Just been to the Langdon Hills Tesco and there were loads of the 100% free dishwasher tablets, and the Finish Rinse Aid with the vouchers attached. Bought 4 of each but left a full shelf load for other MSE's x

Well I've never used them by hand, but not a bad idea for pans that don't go in the dishy!

Thanks to the op - only 20s in my store, but still a good deal.:D

If you buy the product they should accept the voucher. How ever many you buy. I have a load of Tropicanna vouchers at the moment and tend to buy 4 cartons and use 5 vouchers per shop. 4 for the cartons I buy and 1 as the one for not buying the item. So I get £2.50 off. Just remind the SA you are actually buying the item and they should accept all the vouchers. I did have a problem once, but the SA apologised when I showed him the cartons.

I managed to get some of these at the Ipswich Martlesham branch. The SEL said 20 plus 100% free but there were only packs of 20. I picked up 2 wondering if one would go through free and the 2 rinse aids to get the £3 off coupon but got charged for both packs so went to Customer Services to tell them what the SEL said, she went and checked and then just gave me another 2 packs so check the SEL if there are only 20s on the shelf, cos you might get lucky!

Hmm. I could do with some of these, but we've only got a useless Tesco express and an almost as useless Tesco Metro anywhere near us. I've never been able to get everything I wanted shopping-wise from them, always ending up back at Asda or Sainsburys to finish off, so gave up with them ages ago. But, I've got to go near the Metro today, so might pop in to see the empty space on the shelves, that's if they even stock these..

I think you will find that if the salt light is on you need to fill it with salt. A dishwasher engineer told me that it is very important to fill up the salt and rinse aid as it can damage the machine.

Depends where you are. Up here around Manchester area, we're in a "very soft" water area. I checked the machine instructions against the softness levels on the water bill, confirmed it with United Utilities, and there is no salt needed at all. So there's another way to save money - Move :)
