newbie trader - security advice please

I would like to buy/sell goods securely on ebay. I have registered for a paypal account with D/Debit linked to my main current a/c. I am now worried having read various 'horror' stories.
1)Should I keep a separate bank a/c for all ebay/paypal transactions?
2)Use recorded delivery only?
3)Is my yahoo email address secure for these transactions? Or should I set up a new one solely for ebay.
Any tips/advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.Regards Chris

1) Only if you want to keep track of payments more easily. I wouldn't bother.
2) If you accept a paypal payment, recorded may protect you against fraudulent chargebacks, but for items under £32 a certificate of posting will cover you (at least make sure you're not out of pocket for any refunds you have to give.)
3) I use my main email account. If you decide to change it, make sure all your settings include the correct email address otherwise payments may go astray.
4) Here's a tip - when you make a payment using ebay, don't fund it with direct debit from your current account - it may leave you out of pocket if you are unable to claim a refund due to the seller having no funds in their account. Fund your payments with a credit card then at least your credit card issuer can help get the money back in case paypal fail you.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0
