hi guys ive claimed money from overdraft charges off hsbc about 6 years ago and im starting the process of doing it again

Ive sent the financial hardship letter but forgot to date it :o but it was sent recorded i sent it last friday and adjusted it for a response in 7 days but still nothing from them i know theyve recieved it as each time ive gone into an informal overdraft since they sent me a letter and called me to inform me which they havent done before

should i send it again?

also what would happen if i opened a new account with a different bank and transfered my dd and salary to that account leaving my hsbc account still overdrawn im hoping to ask them to close it and come to an arrangement to pay it back monthly interest free is this possible? or until they pay up

thanks in advance

  • Can you clarify your first post ie you claimed money back from HSBC 6 years ago?

Have you already had one claim and did you get paid out and when?

Do you have priority debt arrears(mortgage/rent, council tax, utilities)?

  • theres one month arrears on my council tax but nothing else as they come out on the 1st of the month my council tax comes out on the 19th going to see if they can move it

ive today opened an account with a different bank so i can have my salary + dd etc payed in so that i can have enough left to get through the month im just going to have to pay my hsbc overdraft bit by bit and then when i my claim gets sorted ill have some extra cash

On the face of it, it doesn;t necessarily look to be a strong case on financial hardship in itself. I would put in a claim to the bank and get it acknowledged.
