I want to stop accepting returns but how?

Can't find where to change this, i've had a couple of dopey reasons for refund recently so I want to stop offering refunds. I will still offer them if I feel it's required but I don't want people returning goods for no good reason. Anyone know where to change this part of my profile?
Thanks
PS With refunds do people generally include postage costs?

Belive it or not it's actually located under the heading 'payment & postage'. Under there you can add/remove the tick under the return policy stating whether you accept returns or not.
Needs to be done when listing new item and then it will remember it the next time. You can edit a already listed item but you'll need to do them all manaully.Regards,

Yeah when you are listing items make sure you mark that no returns and also in the item description you can put that you will not accept returns of goods unless faulty and then you will check the goods for faults before refunding!Weight Loss - 102lb0

Personally, I believe that not accepting returns will cost you more as buyers will be more wary of buying from you if you have lots of terms and conditions attached and may shop elsewhere.
Instead of not accepting returns why not just change your policy to say that postage won't be refunded, only unopened goods can be returned and a reasonable restocking fee will apply unless faulty. I have a generous returns policy, 30 days with what I've just mentioned, but it's worthless because the items I sell are so cheap that the postage costs for the buyer wouldn't make it worth returning.
You'll still be attractive to unsure buyers but they'll be less likely/able to return things and if they do you can resell and make money for nothing on the postage surplus and restocking fee.0 -

Trouble is it's been the more expensive items i've sold that have been returned. I'm just getting a run on them after having none. I might just tighten up the policy, thanks for the suggestions everyone.0 -
I would suggest just making the policy more clear cut. You do have legal obligations to offer a returns policy (dependant on the type of item) under the distance selling regulations...do a google search and I'm sure you'll find all you need to know about the regulation.Stuff Happens As Wave of Ambiguity Spreads:cool:0

Trading standards say restocking fees are illegal weather or not this applies to internet auctions i am not sure. But certainly a charge back could occur if a credit card is used"Save the cheerleader - Save the world"0 -
I don't offer a returns policy, but I'm just selling my old junk so I'm not sure it's needed. Obviously I will sort out any problems as I have always done. I haven't noticed any reduction in my sales since ebay started adding the returns policy bit to auctions. I am wary of people seeing the returns policy and thinking they can just send anything back. A friend of mine sells secondhand CDs and has had problems with people returning CDs for no good reason - she suspects people are copying them and then returning them.0

Personally I would only accept faulty goods back, after all they have won and paid for the item so what other excuse can they have for no longer wanting it! If they no longer want it they should resell it!Weight Loss - 102lb0

I have no refund policy shown, nor do I have any other terms and conditions apart from requring paypal only in UK sterling funds for non UK buyers. I rarely get asked for a refund, when I do I really make a decision based on what the person says and their feedback, but if someone just demands a refund as they have changed their mind then I would refuse, and risk a neg if necessary. I hav enever yet got a neg or even a neutral for refusing a 'chance' refund request.
Obviously though if something is faulty I would accept a return immediately and refund in full.
