Aww toots your husbands on a double pleaser football and pastry. Just keep drinking it makes the night pass easier. Xx

It's a wonder what a bottle of wine can do - however I was busy whilst I was sitting in the corner quietly boozing ;).

So ladies, a little bit of news to share :D. Seeing as I can't tell anyone else............

Just before hubby's family descended on us for the football I happened to glance at my emails, and this is actually turning out to be a damn good week!:j

Not sure if I mentioned it already, but when we decided to emigrate I sent off a speculative email to BBC's Wanted Down Under to see whether we could get a week's reky trip out of it! Out of the blue I got an email back from them last night saying they are filming for their new series in the New Year and attaching an application form for us to complete and return ASAP. :T:T:T:T

Anyway, I spent the evening sat in the corner smiling smugly and completing our application form. We returned it with a family photo (as requested) which made us look like normal people ;). Emailed it back to them - tried to make it as entertaining as possible to hopefully increase our chances of being picked. Pulled on the old heartstrings emphasising that we would be ripping away the family's only grandchild and taking him to the other side of the world smiley-sad010.gif. Made it all sound very dramatic.

Oh girls cross your fingers for us - you could all get together with Martin and make a tearful "don't go" film.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    This would be amazing!!

Nothing else to do but have a cup of tea and a sausage sandwich seeing as it was so successful yesterday. The diet will have to start when I head back to London on Sunday - I can't go on TV with a far @rse!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I love handbags if it has sentimental value dont sell!

bit off topic but did your hubby get round to getting rid of scrap metal in garage after?

    I have done

    housework
    few comps and surveys
tesco online giving me £10 off and £10 cashback through quidco.
changed broadband /phone from virgin to sky saving £40 a month.

Hubby has encouraged me to hold on to my Mulberry purse - he bought it for me when I got my first midwifery job:).

Hubby got around £335 for the scrap so it was very worthwhile - he has already started building the next pile.

You sound like you are doing a great job £10 off and £10 cashback at Tesco - that's my girl. Hope you changed broadband/phone via Quidco too ;).

I really turned on the charm so here's hoping there is a little BBC researcher sitting there this morning reading my application and feeling the love:p.

I think I'll start an Oz version of the site for Martin............for a small fee of course ;).
