What do you think of this??

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Undated-20p-coin-Royal-Mint-Error-VERY-CHEAP_W0QQitemZ260446569054QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Coins_BritishDecimal_RL?hash=item3ca3d3425e&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1684%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

Con or for real?? Can't imagine anyone would have that many that they would be able to sell 5 per person, and not for that price!

So, forgery?? Or am I missing something??

Looking at the seller's name he sounds like a right Arthur Daley
If you will the end, you must will the means.
  • Never receaved the coin

That's the last feedback that he left for someone. Looks like he was conned before. So maybe he was trying to get some money back or liked the idea of getting "easy money" lol

BTW, the guy that sold him the "undated on the queens side" 20p sold over 100 of them. These 20p are a scammer dream! People just buy without even thinking "Hey, the London mint pays £50, why is he selling for less than that on a BIN on ebay? There must be something wrong"

hi todays auction is for an undated on head side 20p
    only afew of these coins
    so grab a bargain
    100% genuine
or money back if date to be found on head side
similar coins have been selling for silly money
    happy bidding

Just found this after checking the 20p listings. :rotfl:
  • Looks rather like a big scam, i wonder where he got the 5 undated ones from.... how and where.... you might come across one but not 5. i really cannot believe that people are buying from this person. i guess they will just claim there money back through paypal

But they'll have to send the item back at the buyers expense by a postal service that'll provide online proof of delivery.

And remember RM don't cover cash (or valuables) mailed by recorded delivery, so it'll be expensive.

i suppose if they do open a non recieved dispute this will be thrown at the sellers to provide the same thing.

but put that aside. paypal are only interested in seeing that the item was sent back to the sellers address. royal mail may not cover these but you can get a recoreded delivery for 75p. id rather send it back for under £1 than loose over £5

The London mint is a bit of a scam too, they are not connected with The Mint and are buying the coins for the £50 they told the media they are worth (The media thought they were connected too) and they simply sell them on for their true value for a tidy profit!
