Agreed, all those addresses are Tiscali ISP. My guess is that you use Tiscali as your ISP, or an ISP which routes through them. Nothing to worry about.

Also tcpip.exe is a standard ISP configurator file.

Yes I do use Tiscali so I'll rest easy now.

    Thanks

As to the ripe.net being a haven for spyware - I'm sure the people who allocate IP addresses for europe i.e. RIPE, would be happy to know that :)
    Just a final thought.

What Dack and everyone else says here is good stuff.

I have now checked out each and every one of the IPs stated throughout this thread and they all come back to the UK, mostly London, so all looks fine.

Thing about RIPE is, yes, they do know the problems but I'm not sure what they do about it.

For example, I've been working on a HJT log on another site in the last few days and the IP there LOOKS fine and dandy because they come back to RIPE.

However, looking more deeply, I see that the source of the IP - behind RIPE - was in Belarus, address: 01110, Ukraine, Kiev, 20Á, Solomenskaya street. room 201.

...the VX2 mob .. also know as the russian mafia...

So nothing to worry about for you, tranmererovers, but everyone reading this please be careful. Don't believe everything you see. It's all done with mirrors to throw you off the scent....! ;)
