I've got a Reebok CyberRider which was stored under my bed for a few months. I built it up last night to find that the resistance doesn't work, it's permanently off. I've tried putting brand new batteries in it and that hasn't helped.
Anybody got any ideas?

Nope, it works of batteries.0 -
Could be a failed motor. Check posts 51 - 54.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0

I would not have thought that batteries would have enough juice to power anything but the digital display on an exercise bike. Are you sure there is not a friction strap on the wheel that controls the resistance?
Apparently, the resistance is created by magnetism.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0 -
Don't know how it works but it does use magnetic resistance.0
