Do you get charged when you ring a number and they are out? on my bill i have got quite a few calls that last 1 second and have been charged 13p.

    If the call connects (i.e. it goes to ansaphone or that BT scam 1571) then no matter if the call lasts 1 sec or 60 secs the min charge is 13p. They can really add up, can't they?

    Why not use 18185 where the call to a 01/02/03 number will only cost you 5p per call whatever time of day.Calls to mobiles are also cheaper.

    Lots of MSE members use it including myself without any problems. Their is no minimum term. Customer service is not their strong point but then your only paying 5p for a peak 01/02/03 call not 4.5p a minute,soon to be 5.25p a minute.
