Blackpool, 6 kids, low budget - advice pls

Hi all,

We want to take 6 kids (under the age of 7) somewhere at the end of this month and we eventually decided on Blackpool.
The problem is we have a very tight budget and need some advice regarding travel, accomodation and the pleasure beach tickets.
This great site has already helped with advice regarding 3 for 2 tckets to the park and possibly free travel for some of the kids with paying adults but I need more advice if possible.
Any idea how much I can pay for two nights in a decent, cheap place that is not too far from the park or within easy commuting distance and will we all be allowed to stay in the one room (2 adults and 6 kids)?
Any other money-saving tips would be most welcome.
Our destination is flexible but I want somewhere the kids will enjoy and get to do stuff.
Many thanks.
