I have a RC101678 Charger and 4x 1800mAh batteries which I use to power my wireless mouse and keyboard but lately Im having to replace them more often so I'm guessing that the batteries are past their lifespan.
Question is if I replace the batteries can I just use any and will they recharge just the same or do I need to swap like for like. I have seen a number of packs of batteries rated anywhere upto 2700 mAh for around the same price as the 1800mAh.

Assuming the replacements are of the same type (probably Nickel Metal Hydride or NiMH), you don't need to worry - get as high a capacity as you can reasonably afford. You'll probably find that they take longer to charge fully, but for your type of use that's not an issue.
One other thing: NiMH batteries have quite a high rate of self-discharge, so charging them just before installing will give longer use than leaving them charged on the shelf until you need them.0 -
Or get Uniross Hybrio or Sanyo eneloop batteries that keep there charge for much longer than NimH these are the next generation batteries
7dayshop sell them, they come pre charged and can charge in a normal NiMH charger
NiMH loose charge and after 6 months 50% is gone, the other batteries even after a year are 85% charged
Or this one in Amazon
