  • Hi

Sorry, I have only just logged on and read your last post!. No it has taken ten weeks for me to sort out buying my beneficial interest. Although I have to say I have not been chased at any time during this period to buy the interest. Before my discharge just before the 12 month period we were asked if we wanted to buy the interest. I wrote to them and said my partner was interested but we did not have the funds and would come back to them some 8 months later, which we did'nt. Unfortunately later my oh had to declare bankruptcy, and the whole cycle repeated itself, when the forms came to again buy the BI we stalled as we were not ready to go ahead.

The point I am making to you is, time and circumstances are on your side, use them!! I am sure that all will be well, property is not going to magically increase overnight, so many people are in the same situation as we are, get a reallistic valuation, for a quick sale, taking into account any faults you can mention with the house!!!! damp etc.

Let me know how you get on. ;)

i think the OR is open to negotiation on the ben interest and as far as i know if you have neg equity it comes back to you after discharge anyway, there are some real stupid rules for houses regarding this stuff,to get a proffesional answer best to give insolvency help line a call they are usually quite helpful.
