I've scoured sainsbury's, tesco and asda here in gillingham. I am going back to Wigan at the weekend. I will check there. I've remembered that they have a speciality foods section at the back of the store, maybe they've moved them from the dried food/pulses aisle to there.

Will report back on Monday, thanks for all the replies so far.

H&B would be the best bet, imo. I've been in several of them, both locally and while traveling, and they've all have a section with TVP chunks, soya mince, etc.

Online you can order it from Goodness Direct: http://www.goodnessdirect.co.uk/cgi-local/frameset/detail/271201_Goodness_TVP_Savoury_Mince_250g.html

Could I ask what you're using the mince for? We've (2 long-time vegetarians) largely given up meat analogues, maybe there's another option?

Thanks IamJem, currently I'm working away from home for a few months. I'm living in a flat with small fridge with a tiny freezer box.

As I'm only there for 4 nights a week and only cooking for one I generally cook more than I eat and freeze some for another time (been following all the tips here on OS forum).

I enjoy spag bol, chilli con carne etc but don't have the room in the freezer to store packs
of mince along with leftovers and frozen veg so I thought using dried soya mince would solve the storage problem.

Although I'm not vegetarian I have used quorn mince in the past and do quite like it, but again that is generally frozen and so I would have trouble storing it.

    Hope that all makes sense.

Morrisons also stock the Granose soya mince. It's a green box - or it was when I bought it last a few months ago.
    Looking forward to the future.

I'd get a small freezer maybe a table top one that soya mince is vile. Give me quorn anyday. Beanfeasts very slightly better and easy to store. Good luck.

Gillingham Tesco definately stock it , it's on the aisle before the bread aisle on the left as you walk down the middle aisle , think its the same aisle as the eggs, its on the very end on the right as you turn in.

cooked chilli with the very stuff last night !!

I know Sainsbury stopped doing it for some reason
