If its anything like my Morgan Stanley account, there is an anniversary date - in my case, its the same date the first ever statement was due (i.e. in my case this was mid June 2001). Ao my cashback is issued after this statement annually and usually arrives in mid to late July.

    Maybe its a similalr thing.

But if you want to close the account, is it really worth it for that small amount? Give them a call and close it and they may well offer you something to stay.
