Nationwide Debit card information

Hi,
I've been looking into the best debit card to take travelling with me and having read the information on MSE went to the Nationwide website. MSE seems to say that the Nationwide debit card doesn't charge for cash withdrawals, but the Nationwide website states that there will be a charge of 0.84% when using the Visa debit card. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I think that the information on MSE is wrong. If you use the Nationwide Cash card to make withdrawals there will be no charge, but not with the debit card.
Kind Regards
Kate

There is not a charge for withdrawing cash (unlike some banks which charge £1.50 - £3 per withdrawal). However, they pass on Visa's cash conversion fee of 0.84%. Therefore the amount you withwithdraw is convert into pounds, and inlcudes this small commission.
It is still, by far, the cheapest way to withdraw cash overseas. Most banks charge around 3% conversion fee, on top of the transaction fee.0 -
The charge doesn't apply to most European countries.0
