Further delay on purchase

Well we were hoping to be in our new house before easter, but that clearly is not going to happen now.
This is because the housing association our vendors are purchasing a shared ownership house from put on the papers that went to the solicitors that the house was sheltered housing instead of affordable housing.
Our vendors seem to think that this could take up to 6 weeks to rectify, but the EA thinks it will be much less – any ideas?
If it does take 6 weeks, I am going to have to find a B&B to stay in as we are currently on the floor at my parents and I am 5 months pregnant!!

Your vendors need to get onto the housing associations legal dept to get them moving.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Cant really contribute much here, but sending you *hugs*, I know how stressful buying from a housing association could be. I was practically bald from tearing my hair out when I bought mine. And tosh to your estate agent. If its only two words the vendor solicitor can change this in an hour, they jkust need a large kick up the backside to do it x:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
