TV License

Options
I know there's a few threads already around the board about the TV license, but I just have a simple query.

Moved into our first rented property on 25th Aug, while settling in there was a few notices from the TV Licensing (surprise surprise) and I paid that day. Now a year later for the renewal, my license ends on the 31st July, I'm pretty cross about the fact if I'd have waited 5 days I wouldn't have to pay for a whole month grrgggg. I don't suppose there's anything I can do or any reasoning to be had with them?

I shouldn't be so damn organised next time.. I'm usually not!
I love surprises!

The forum software uses American spell checking and highlights License as correct and Licence as incorrect.

Personally I would decide that after the 31st July, you're "not going to watch your TV for a month". By the time they notice you haven't renewed etc... and sent some letters, it'll soon be 1st September when you can promptly pay as you have now decided to watch TV again.

I got caught out in the same way, so although I'm not a dishonest person, I had no qualms doing the above!!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Maybe this needs bringing to the attention of Forum mods.

As this is a UK site I would expect to see UK spelling.
