MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. It is a good fare. I always preferred Boulogne as a foot passenger daytripper though - Calais is fine if you are driving.0

I agree about going to Boulogne that's where I went to on my last trip to France (caught the train from Calais to Boulogne)The Very Right Honourable Lady Tarry of the Alphabetty thread-I just love finding bargains and saving moneyI love to travel as much as I can when I canLife has a way to test you, it's how you deal with this that matters0

Hi I also received this offer do you think we could book 2 seperate vouchers to allow us a night in Calais i.e. use one voucher on the way out and the other just for the return?
Thanks0 -
I'm travelling Europe for a month with a friend departing on 12th September and my starting point will be Dover to Calais and then beyond. The £2 day return voucher is only valid Sunday to Thursday and as I am travelling on a Saturday, this increases to £6. Still, an absolute bargain though. (£14 cheaper than the standard return and at least £53 cheaper than Eurostar....)
My query however is this. I attempted to book my trip tonight, but upon checking the terms and conditions, there was an interesting comment about how both legs of the journey (outward and return) would need to be completed or I'd be "surcharged". Obviously, I won't be completing the return journey because I am not returning the same day, I am travelling Europe for a month. My return leg is surprlus to requirements and I'm only booking it as it's cheaper than a standard single. Does anyone know if this mystery "surcharge" will be charged to my card if I choose not to return the same day, or whether I'll be able to get away with booking this bargain journey and then continuing with my journey across Europe without worrying about P&O charging me, simply because I chose not to use their services twice?
Thanks

Took advantage of this today and it is indeed £2 each way per person so came to £4 travel plus £2 surcharge, so £6 all told, which is very good
