halifax ..have i won?

i've recently tried claiming credit card charges back from halifax.
they offered £700 and £25 interest

Halifax passed my debt on to a collection agency (eos solutions) which i'm still paying
Halifax say the £725 will be knocked off that debt ....is that right or can i claim the cash?

    Hi
Im pretty sure if you have a debt with them they will just knock what they have offered you off whats outstanding. Im sure from other posts this has been the case - someone else may come along and confirm this shortly.

They absolutely have the right to deduct their settlement from monies owed by you to the bank. Sad but true.

Totally agree that it means that you have £725 less to pay on the credit card....a result.
